Nageshwar Pandit_Bihar

Nageshwar , 76 , Mahantymayani Village, District Muzaffarpur, Bihar, is a potter. He has three sons who are married and living with their families.Nageshwar has 4-5 ekhta of farmland from which he is getting food grains and rice. He does not have a BPL card but he has an APL card on which he is able to get kerosene oil.

For the last two years both he and his wife have been getting a pension of Rs. 200 per month and he earns about Rs.20 by making pots but this is not enough to buy food for both of them. Sometimes his younger son gives them a little money.

Nageshwar has come to the Pension Parishad rally with the hope that his pension will go up to Rs.2000, which will enable him and his family to live more comfortably.
